I am new at soap making. As I was making my fourth batch of soap I made the mistake of not measuring out my lye beforehand to see how much I had left. When I finally had it measured out I had already combined my coconut oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil and jojoba oil. I realized that I didn't have as much lye as I needed if I added the palm oil but did have enough if I left the palm oil out. So I proceeded without the palm oil. I made this with oatmeal water, added oatmeal and lavandar essential oil and tea tree oil. After looking over the SoapCalc "Soap Bar Quality" I am worrying that it will be a very cleansing bar (49) but not very conditioning A(26). Should I try melting it down and adding palm oil and more lye water to it? or should we just try using it this way? I don't want it to be drying to skin.
What do you think?

Cure it out and see what you think. You can always rebatch later!

But you did calculate the lye correctly ? I mean for the oils that went into the soap.

If you did, wait 1 week, try it, if you don't like it, rebatch with adding a little oil.

As long as you used the appropriate amount of lye for the oils you used, it should be okay! I would just use it the way it is and then make your next batch as you intended. Then you can do some comparing!

I'd cure it and try it also. If you don't like it at that point, another option is using it as embeds. (I hate rebatching)
