I have a large tub of refined shea butter that I keep in my unheated garage. It's probably 5 months old and some edges are turning white and chalky. Is this normal?
I have a tub of refined high melt shea butter a little over a year old that I keep in my fridge that has developed the same kind of 'bloom' on it. For what it's worth, I have been using it in my personal lip balms and body butters without any issues.
