Hey there!
For my first foray into shaving soap, I bought a 1lb melt and pour shaving base from Brambleberry. I also bought a pound of bentonite clay.
I know for the 1lb, I'll need only about 2 tablespoons of clay total, leaving plenty left over for when I'm brave enough to try to HP it. I also know the clay will add some color to it, though not much.
Is it possible/advisable to add non-bleeding colorants such as oxides to the shaving soap?
I also want to fragrance it, but I lack EO's and will be using FO's. I know that for 1lb of regular melt and pour, recommended amount of fragrance is .3 to .5 oz, but since this will be used mainly on the face (for the men's shaving soap, anyway) I'm wondering if I should copy the usage for sugar scrubs (20 drops for 9oz or so of solid sugar scrubs).
Any tips or tricks? TIA!
