i had to go out of town and forgot my shampoo. at the hotel there was PEAR'S glycerine soap, and i read somewhere on this forum it was okay to shampoo with.

i have very fine thin, limp hairand dry, itchy scalp, but not any more! it is sooooo soft and shiny and full of body! i almost have "big hair"! LOL!

can anyone reccommend a quality m/p like pears that i could use?

the first thing i'm going to do when i get home is throw out all the shampoos i've spent a gazillion bucks on!

pears

i have shoulder lenght hair, and with a thorough shampoo and rinse, i do not have to repeat soaping up again-it rinses really nice. then just a dab of the aussie's 3-minute miracle. no flyaways and i've still have lots of body.

i like redmond's products becauce they are cruelty free and salon quality. i am very sensitive to most bath products. most of their products have little or no scent compared with most commercial brands out there.

Pears soap is made from palm & coconut oils with rosin added. I soap with palm and coconut and it's crap on my hair, so maybe it's the rosin.

soap

is yours glycerine too? regular bar soap (c/p) is awful on my hair, but the glycerine is amazing!

i've never really played with m/p soaps, and i was thinking of peak candle m/p. i was reading the ingredients, and it seem pretty natural and wholesome-not like some with a whole list of chemicals.

has anyone tried peak candle or can reccommend a good source?

no mine is not glycerin, but it' is basically the same ingredients (saponified palm and coconut, with the naturally formed glycerin left in). pears leaves out the "processing aide" that allows them to produce a clear soap (because it cooks out I guess).

The MP soap at Peak is, I believe, SFIC which is top notch stuff.
