I got inspired by the thread on shampoo bars and decided to make an experimental 450g batch. I have been using my own liquid bastile (and ACV rinse afterward), but my bastile has CO and I have been wanting to try a highly recommended shampoo bar. I posted how I altered Genny's original recipe on the referenced thread, got the yellow from calendula petal tea (replaced water) and used lemon, rosemary, and lemongrass EOs.

Very pretty soaps and the tea soap sounds divine!

Very smooth and pretty bars. Did you make the calendula tea yourself? I've experimented with about 6 or 7 batches of shampoo bars so far - tweaking and changing and adding and subtracting. I've liked them all, some better than others. My favorite so far is a beer bar with rosemary EO. The calendula tea sounds really nice so I may have to try that next.

Beautiful creamy color. I've never tried a real shampoo bar only the ones I've made that are just regular soap.

thank you! I plan on making some with beer soon! The calendula was an experiment, I was wondering if the tea would transfer color since the oil infusions are more work. I am very pleased and will use calendula tea in soap again.

Thank you! this is regular soap, not a syndet bar. It is just regular soap with very low cleansing value, very conditioning, and no coconut at all. I posted the proportions in the shampoo bar thread: avocado, olive, shea and castor.

Looks beautiful! I have made a few tea infused soaps and they are fun to do. Never thought about adding it to a shampoo bar, great idea!

Wow, they look so creamy! Ive been wanting to make shampoo bars and salt bars... one of these days!!!
