Shampoo Bar

I haven't used palm oil before and I just want to get a second opinion on this recipe before I use it and waste any palm on it.

Beer and Egg Shampoo Bar

Castor 10%
Sweet Almond Oil 4%
Grapeseed Oil 4%
Palm 25%
Olive 35%
Coconut 22%

1 egg yolk PPO
34% Water as percent of oil weight (using beer in place of water)


I have yet to decide whether I want to HP or CP it

You could up the castor even more for shampoo bars, say 15%

Sounds like a nice soap.

You can always use lard in place of the palm if you run low.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will play with soapcalc today and adjust the castor. And to be honest, I may switch to lard when I run out of palm. Lard is a lot easier to work with I find (in terms of sourcing it, etc)
