Hey guys, Most of the week, and especially when I have some free time, I'm limited by the oils that my local store has available.

That's:

  • Sunflower
  • Cornoil
  • Canola
  • Coconut Oil (76)
  • Olive pommace
  • Gingelly
  • Glycerine & Borax
No Safflower, No castor & NO palm ! ( but they have palm olein)

I've already made my first successful batch of liquid soap (100% coconut) which is very bubbly, smells OK(ish) and is very harsh on the skin. Also a bit hard to rinse off (any solution to this?)

What I really would like, and have not been able to find, is somewhere I can select the input oils and then be given a few recipe to select as well as the expected properties of the soap. So far the closest I have found are calculators where I have to manually set each percentage.

I'm really not advanced, I'm very new to this so I'd prefer to do a few more trusted recipes before experimenting with my own.

You will have to use a calculator and insert the oils to see the value they contribute to the soap. If you have the new brand of Crisco in your area, it contains palm and SoapCalc lists it as an ingredient. You may be able to find Castor oil at the pharmacy.
