i made some lotion and but in a citrus kind of scent called celestial waters. smells great in my soaps and candles. but when i put it in my lotion it ended up smelling alot like rotten eggs and alittle like citrus. i scared to put in any citrus scents into my lotions now :( is there a way to stop this from happening or maybe a certain combonations of oils that "like" citrus scents better? i use a combo of shea butter coconut oil and olive oil for my lotions.

thanks a bunch

Some fragrances are not approved for skin contact. I would guess your issue might be no preservative. You have to use one in lotions.

I have never had a problem w/ assorted citrus scents in lotions.

brambleberry.com it works great in my soaps and candles :)
maybe it is not rated for lotions?

thanks

So, did the lotion smell weird right from the beginning or soon afterwards?
