I soaped with some of my Conservatorie micas yesterday so I thought I'd share my thoughts/pics for anyone thinking of ordering these colors. These were also my first attempts at swirling.
Chameleon - not really what I was expecting based on the color of the mica, but kind of pretty.
Shimmer Green/Deep Periwinkle - loved both of these!
Ruby Red - colored the entire batch for a "Hurricane" (the drink) soap. Pretty close to what I wanted, but I apparently didn't mix it quite as well as I thought. I kind of like the look now that I'm done cussing!
Has anyone else noticed a difference in texture in the part of your soap colored with mica? The green/blue portions of that soap are less firm than the uncolored portion...maybe I added too much mica, but I like the deep colors. Hopefully this will resolve itself during cure.
I hope this is helpful...I had such a hard time choosing between all the lovely Conservatorie micas since there aren't very many reviews on them on the website and it was hard to judge what they would look like in CP!

These look great! Love your swirls! I have used only a white mica in my soap and it almost disappeared. It was shimmery on the top but I lost my swirl during gelling. :) btw my mica was from BB

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I used the $5 mini-mixer from WSP (same one available at BB) to mix my micas with oil. It was kind of a PITA...the power button doesn't work that great in a vertical position for mixing so it was hard to keep it going at full speed. Of course, it could just be me :) Oh well, for $5 it was worth a shot, but I'm going to go look for one like lindy's on amazon!

Very pretty Cere! I like the middle one the best. I have the WSP mini mixer, and I found the whisk works better then the frother, and you really have to hit that button. But meh, I like jus tmixing it with a spoon. :D

Oh, I love the swirls in those! They came out very nicely :) I know the last one you thought you had all the color mixed in, but I really like the look that you ended up with, it looks like it is slightly marbled. Very pretty! Do any of them have scents?

Mica in CP soap will tend towards the pastel unless you use a whole lot of it (1 teaspoon PPO or more) and too much of it will make the soap scratchy, IMO. It's mostly used to add a bit of color and some sparkle more than anything. At least with white. If you want to really whiten your soap, I recommend titanium dioxide.

I like these, very pretty, all of them. I have noticed if I go overboard with oxides the soap is "softer", I haven't tried micas so not sure about those. I may have to get some mica....

Thanks everyone!
Badger, the top one is scented with WSP Honey and Shea FO, the middle with Peak's Green Clover and Aloe FO, and the bottom with Peak's Jamaica Me Crazy FO. :)

I have noticed that for some micas anyhow, it almost seems like the soap doesn't stick to it, as weird as that sounds. The texture is different and more spongy, less solid and like I said it almost looks like the soap didn't take the color. I've noticed it most with the red micas. With some micas it seems like you can put in a LOT without problems and others not so. I recently bought a boat load of COnservatorie micas and the ones I've used so far have been pretty good. I just used one of their purples and it turned out dusty rose pick, which ticked me off, but so far, they've been really nice!

I love your soaps and I like the little streaks of white in the ruby one. Gives it a bit more interest, to look at the patterns.

Which purple did you use? I used the Magic Violet in my gelled CP two months ago and its lovely, even with the darker tones because of the FO discoloration.

It was their Patagonia Purple. I used their Violet today and it was great. I will have to look at their Magic violet too. I love purples but they seem hard to find for CP.
