Rubbing Alcohol

I made an anti-itch solution containing 1 part rubbing alcolhol and 3 parts water and some drops of tea tree oil. I know that tea tree oil has a lot of medicinal properties (ie minor burns and skin irritations). Does anyone know how rubbing alcohol reacts to skin irritations, minor burns and cuts?

It burns like fire. I would never put alcohol on an open wound or irritation.
