NEARLY A YEAR!? How do you cope?

Only because I have no choice due to the sewage spill we had last year - still have repairs going on and can't stand the thought of soap curing in this constantly changing, dusty environment. The whole situation - including not having the haven of soap making has affected my emotional health. Soap making, and gardening provide a lot of self esteem for me. We live in a bedroom and at times are literally trapped in the house and can't leave, or trapped outside of the house and can't get in - depending on what they're working on

Then there's the fact that last week we had no hot water for almost a week. There's no predictability to what part of the house they're going to work on. They covered the windows with plastic 2 months before painting a thing - so we can't even look outside the windows. (Well - except that I did finally just tear the stuff off in a fit of anger. They can't expect us to live in a jail cell - they'll just have to re plastic it when they do decide to get to the 2nd coat of paint.

Let's not talk about how the men have access to the house at ANY time because the owner supplied them with key. So - at 6 in the morning my little one might have to use the bathroom and be caught in the hallway in her pajamas with a strange man standing there!!!! She's 11 years old for crying out loud!!:mad::mad: Her teachers have commented on her touchy emotions at school, instead of being her usual happy go lucky self. Well yeah....home is no longer the safest place on earth for her. Or us.

And - how one of the boys I raised for 12 years was flying through the area (and stopping to visit) for military training before returning to Afghanistan, and I told the construction manager to not send workers for 2 days so we could visit in peace. He was FURIOUS and whined to the owner. The owner was supportive because she knew those boys were like my children. But the manager was whining over changing his schedule because I wanted 2 days with my soldier before serving in a dangerous situation again.

I may have had my first ever panic attack a couple weeks ago.

Sorry, my attitude is showing. Two more months of this at least.

HORRIFYING story!! I'm so very sorry to hear the way you and your family are forced to live right now. Hope the work will be finished soon, Godspeed to them. Sending love. <3

these are beautiful, thank you for sharing!

i'm really impressed because in my experience rose EO accelerates incredibly fast, to the point where i have to go blender-free if i wanted to be able to simply pour them in the mould. VERY kudos on the swirls!
