I'm looking for a rose that is not overwhelming... I really don't like rose but I live in a town with lots of elderly, and think the scent will do well... I just need to find one that won't make me throw up when I soap with it!

yuck i dont like it either, but the older ladies like anything floral, i found. I did a baby rose from bb, i think. They also like omh, jasmine, fruity scents, no baked good scents. ( i did a show at a asst living).

I must be an old lady then - I like those scents too, but abhor bakery scents.

I tried the English Tea Rose from WSP and liked it. You will probably want to use less than 1 oz. ppo with this one.

I HATE rose! It gives me & my husband a headache. That being said, WSP has a essential oil blend called "Lavender" that is a combo rose & lavender EOs. I like it very much. The lavender takes the edge off the rose and you do not smell the lavender, IMHO.

SC True Rose smells pretty much like a rose. I gave a rose scented cake of soap to a friend who adores roses and she loved it.

Brambleberry's English Rose is really strong. I mixed it half and half with coconut, and it was still too rosy.
I didn't sell a single bar at my market after Thanksgiving, and I tend to go easy on the FOs.
