Has anyone used rose oil in their CP soap? I tried a batch last week and the fragrance is so faint it might as well be unscented.

Do you mean Rose EO? Because at $300 an ounce I don't think I will be soaping that.

If you mean FO, then yes. I make a soap with Fresh Cut Roses (WSP) at .7 ppo., or roughly 3%. It moves very fast. I soap that one on the cold side, add the fragrance to the oils before they lye, along with a little Pink French Clay. It comes out very nice, and the scent holds well and strong.

The oldest bar of rose soap I have is more than 2 years, still a nice but faint scent. I'm not wild about the color, I tried rosehip powder.

i used a geranium rose eo from organic creations that has a lovely rosy fragrance.....i am very pleased and it has lasted for very well for at least 3 weeks in the soap...very nice and i believe the price was quite reasonable.

I use an FO that is just Rose and it holds really well in CP - I have 2 right now - one just rose and the other with Baby Powder - love both!

I used rose absolute, which from what I'm told is a bit or rose eo in jojoba oil. I had a customer request it so I thought I'd try it. I haven't tried rose geranium yet, will look into that.

Thanks for all your help :D
