Hi all! I'm back from my quick trip to FL to find a new house. Aside from someone getting my card info from a gas pump skimmer and draining my bank account, it was fun! Looking back, I'm sure I was the most exciting exhibit at the Naval Aviation Museum that day.

Anyway, to keep it related to the forum....I make my soap in the kitchen after the kids go to bed. The kitchen in the new place is HUGE! I'm already having visions of molds lining the big island in the middle! Just a few more weeks and I'll be back to weighing and waiting!

Yes, I am glad you have a large kitchen, wish I could say the same. Sorry someone stole your info, that sucks!

I can't wait! My mother in law is coming down this week and we'll make a few batches. They will all go home with her though. I hope I can talk her into a salt soap because I want to learn how to make it sooo bad! I like the pink one on Soap Queen.

The card stuff....meh. My bank made it pretty easy to deal with.

I thought salt soap was just a regular recipe with salt in it. Soaping101 has a salt bar vid, and she said you can add up to 50% salt.

Ugh. My husband has had his credit card info stolen 4 times now! Always when we travel! I'm glad that you got your stuff taken care of! Best wishes on your new kitchen!

Bummer about the gas station skimmer. We recently lost power for 2 days and had to get gas for the generator so we filled our cars too. I read your post and immediately checked my bank account :) all good.
Happy you will have a larger area to soap in. I completely took over our dinning room. Good thing we have an eat in kitchen.

It probably is. Lol! I've just never tried it before. I'm going to go out in town tomorrow to see if I can find pink Himalayan salt. I'm not even sure why I want to try it out so bad. Hoping it will be good for my skin. I have horrible acne and nothing clears it up better than some time in the ocean daily. After a few weeks of getting out on the board, my skin is so clear. So maybe a salt soap will have the same effect.

Liz!!! 4 times?! Ouch. My husband's got stolen once, but I caught a charge for .40 cents before they charged anything else. The bank said that people will try a small charge to see if it works and then go to town. With my card, there was only a matter of 30 minutes between the first small charge and then 3 more charges of waaaaaay more. The bad thing? I got the invoices, etc. from the companies they ordered from. These people were stealing my money to buy supplies to make counterfeit money!!

My partner recently had his card info stolen also, and someone tried to charge thousands of dollars onto his account. Fraud alerts caught the charges and cancelled the card, but they didn't let us know the card was cancelled at first, so it made things... interesting for a while until we figured out what was going on.

Yup 4 times! He and I both use the same card, but different accounts...and its usually after we go out of town! My card has never been canceled! It's so strange! But the Chase company is always on top of it! It's frustrating because he has to change his info for automatic bill pay every time with our utilities.

Interesting! My card info was stolen that same weekend, but I'm not sure how the info was obtained. The bank warned us there was something up with our bank account a few weeks ago and they sent my hubby a new debit card, but nothing for me. I assumed I was ok. Boy, was I wrong! The day after payday we were wiped out! Thankfully our bank is awesome and we got all of our money back in about 3 days, but it was a bit tough for awhile since I usually go for groceries on payday! Glad you have such an awesome new kitchen! Not looking forward to our move in about a year  I have way more soap stuff this time around!

I am SO THANKFUL for USAA!! They made that whole incident much better than it could have been. Now I'm wondering if you got taken by the same people. I talked with a very sweet lady with one of the companies (paper clips etc.) and she said they had a ton of fraudulent orders come in on the same day. Everything was going to Renton, WA.

Holy cow. Counterfeit money. Funny that you got the invoices and they got the supplies. If they actually intended to bust criminals, the addresses where things are shipped should be a good start. you're so fortunate you got your money back so soon.

wow... sound scary... I have yet to experience it yet... but there was cases here in my country too... and its not even credit card but the normal ATM card details... the investigation show a syndicate involves but of course, the boss never got caught..

could you actually set up alerts for very little amounts with the banks in your country? we do have such services...

Yeah, I was living in NH and supposedly my card was used at a CVS in NJ when I hadn't left the state in months! Fortunately it wasn't for a lot of money (I never have a lot for them to steal) and it was returned to me quickly.

That's who we have too! I love how quickly they sorted everything out. Makes the best out of a bad situation!
