Rice Malt Syrup

While shopping in coles today I noticed rice malt syrup. It looks similar to honey, tastes vaguely similar - sort of like glucose with a little honey for flavour. So, has anyone soaped it? Im thinking use it like we normally use honey? I tried a few different google searches, but didnt come up with any mentions of soap.

My questions would be why? Does it have the same benefits of honey? I would look into its properties before using, but if it is similar to honey you could probably add it in like honey.

Soaping101 uses bran malt in a soap as a sugar replacement, I don't see why you can't use rice malt.
