I am a little confused about which to use for CP soaps.. Refined or unrefined coconut oil and I have a recipe for a dog soap which calls for jojoba oil. I am seeing extreme differences in prices for this oil. One said it was refined and was 4X cheaper. Which would I use for a dog soap or any other CP soap recipe for that matter?

I would never use my pricey unrefined virgin CO in my soaps unless it was a special one for a good reason. Maybe some others do but I use good old 76 degree organic. Jojoba for a dog.. maybe I would get the pricier option for that since dogs have finicky skin. kwim? Are you adding the jojoba later on like at the end of HP so it's not all eaten up by the lye?

Thanks. The dog soap is a CP recipe for dry skin. With CO, Palm oil, Olive, jojoba, shea butter and just a touch of EO's.

You can use either but with coconut oil, I generally go with refined which is cheaper. There really is no reason to use top of the line oils in soap.
Neem oil is a great oil in dog soap, use at around 20% but be warned, it smells really bad.
