After reading this post http://www.soapmakingforum.com/showthread.php?t=52049 I decided to try using red cabbage juice to color soap blue and see if it really does make smelly soap.
Juice, was quite strong smelling
Juice with lye. It turned dark green at first then went bright orange. Didn't notice a increase in smell
In the mold. I scented on bar just to see if the juice affected FO at all.
When mixing the lye into the oils, it smelled strongly of ammonia but it seems to be fading already. I had enough batter to pour a small bar that I will be CPOP to see how that affects the color change.
