I'm going to attempt making rebatched soap tomorrow. I ordered rebatch bases from BrambleBerry (shea base and goat milk base), have researched the method I am going to try, and I am all set and ready to go!
However, I still have two questions that perhaps someone can answer for me:
1) I have a 40-oz loaf mold that I would like to pour my batch into. This is probably a stupid question, but since the rebatch base I purchased is in grated form, how to I carefully calculate how much base I need to fill this particular mold?
2) I would like to try making a double-layer soap using this rebatch base. Is there anything I need to do to make sure the two layers adhere to one another? Do I wait until the first layer has completely set up before pouring the second layer (how long do I wait)? I am only familiar with making layers in mp glycerin soap (using a spritz of rubbing alcohol between layers), so I am not sure how to do layers in a batch of cp rebatch base.
I would appreciate any information you can give! Thank you!
