I used a load of old scraps to make a new coffee soap.

I grated them all up, melted them down in the crock pot with some added fresh brewed coffee and coffe grounds. I also added 3% sodium lactate to make it smoother to mould. I scented it with rosemary and patchouli. I'm quite pleased with the result. Even the few not quite melted gratings of soap don't look too bad.

OMG that looks so awesome! I would never guess rebatch on that one!
Ima totally copycat you :p

Yes absolutely, it was the first time I had used it and was astounded how fluid my soap batter was. I was actually concerned I had added too much water. It hardened up fine though so that definitely wasn't the case.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, it's a great way to make something useful out of left over rubbish.

I used 950g of soap scraps and added 500ml coffee, I then boiled it on high in the crock pot for a couple of hours to get as many soap shreds as possible melted so a lot of that liquid boiled off. It had reduced in volume by at least a third when I put it in the mould.
