This seemed to go really quickly... I expected it to take longer - by a couple hours, but nope, only a little over 2 hours in the crock pot!
This is what it looked like after about 45 minutes -

About an hour and 20 minutes or so later, after stirring it at the next hour point, it was very "pourable", transluscent and looked ready - so I spooned it into some molds.
I really hope I didn't rush it. :-/
It's not smooth by any means, but tomorrow after work I'll unmold, cut and depending on how soft I'll clean them up as well. Even with just the initial clean up though, it feels nice, so I think this is going to end up being a good recipe... I lost all color, but honestly the color wasn't very good to begin with, but the scent is screaming loud and clear through it. :)

I'll post cut pics tomorrow. :)

It looks nice and cooked... Should come out awesome. Share cut pics..

What do you use for a mold? It looks interesting.

i agree on both it looking good and wondering what you are using for a mold.

also a hint if you are interested. if the soap is new, you can cut it up and pop it in the microwave in a safe bowl and cook it 30 seconds or so at a time until it melts down and then mold.

last time i did this, it took me 10 minutes to cut, melt and mold the rebatch

The molds are a couple of Martha Stewart drawer organizers I got at either K-Mart or Wal-Mart years ago specifically for this purpose, but the one that has the least amount of soap in it is warped, so I don't use it often. Thought this would be the easiest thing to use for this...

And yes, Krissy, this was new soap - just made it yesterday so rebatched today. The microwave would have been a good idea had I known about it! LOL
Like I said though, after all these years of soaping I consider myself so lucky - this is the first time I've ever felt the need to rebatch...

Looks good, rebatch makes great soap!
During cleanup it did feel very nice on my hands. Even with it being new soap it wasn't drying like most new soap is. I think I'm gonna like it. At least I hope I am. :)

Looks great!

I've never rebatched and I don't own a crockpot ... maybe I should invest in one, so that I can do this sometime in the future.

Probably not. I got these years ago...
But I think they probably do have something comparable in stores... But I havent' checked in eons for any new soaping supplies.

I used my hubs crock-pot on the sly - he doesnt' know I used it, and if I have anything to do about it, he never will. LOL
