I've looked online and noticed that people who sell on sites like Etsy or 1000markets are shipping their lotions (even the ones in jars) for $3.00 domestic. How in the world are they doing that? Padded envelopes? I am scared to do that. However, if my shipping costs are too high compared to everyone else, I'll lose customers. How do you ship your items? USPS 1st class mail? Parcel Post? Priority? Priority Flat rate? I just can't figure out how people are doing this.

up to 13 oz may be shipped first class for, I think, about $3.25

Oh. I guess I didn't realize I could ship first class mail in a box.
Thanks.

not over 13 oz, and you don't get tracking info unless you pay extra.

As carebear said the trick is finding the right size small box and keeping it under 13 oz. I have a 9oz. shampoo that I can just keep under 13oz.
