So, waiting for the Superbowl I decided to "soap" in support of my team! Just cut it tonight...haven't cleaned it up yet...but here you go...Raven - in honor of the Superbowl Champs!

The purple is ok...am trying to find something more vibrant...but it does look better after gel than it did when I poured...also, the fragrance I used accelerated pretty fast so the soap started to get grainy looking and I had to improvise instead of doing the top I had planned. I was trying a new technique as well that worked ok...but I left too much space between my two layers of "droplets" but I know how to fix that one! I used Plum Tea fragrance oil...it smells great!

I love it. I was going to do something similar but I don't have a purple I like. I was going to use Alkenet root but I have to wait for it to ship to me. What did you use?

Thanks! I used Indigo mica from Conservatorie, Inc...it turned out ok...I didn't like it when I poured it very much, but gelling made a big difference...I can't find that "ravens" purple...vibrant but dark...

Love how the colour has turned out in the log before it was cut.

I love this! The colors are so pretty. And my daughter name is Raven :)

I love Raven as a name! Thanks everyone for such encouragement and positvie feedback! Between watching The Following and making a Raven soap, I'm toying around with some ideas of doing an Edgar Allen Poe themed group of soaps! Living right outside of Baltimore, it would probably be a big hit!

I've thought about doing Edgar Allen Poe themed soaps, I have been fascinated with him since I was 6 yrs old. My school guidance counselor told my mother I needed therapy LOL

Wow I love it. I can never get my purples so vibrant. What do you use?

Hello BotanicalWitch!!! This is her quote about what she used: "I used Indigo mica from Conservatorie, Inc...it turned out ok...I didn't like it when I poured it very much, but gelling made a big difference...I can't find that "ravens" purple...vibrant but dark..."

I love this color as well!!!! May have to give it a try myself sometime!
