I live in an older home and we have the hot water radiators throughout the house, since it's winter and they're warm much of the time. I was wondering if placing a mold of CP soap wrapped in a towel on the radiator would be a good way to help it "gel" ? Or would you not advise this method ? LOL

I personally haven't tried that, logically it could work but I can't say for sure. Perhaps make a small batch and try it??? Then let us know how it worked out? :)

Yep, I tried it without waiting for an answer

I'll let you know tomorrow how it worked out LOL

Good for you! I'm really interested in hearing how it works for you...BTW I love your avatar!

thanks :) I like yours too, even the cow :p

so far it all looks good on the soap end, it's setting up, getting firmer, has a glossy look over the whole thing, not just in the middle ::whew:: !

I guess sometime tomorrow evening I'll know for sure huh ?

Egads, it's all ready pretty firm around the edges, I'll be up at 6m checking it LOL

I'll definitely be posting pics :D

Ok, I cut it this morning. It seems a bit soft and a bit glisteny ? ( if that's a word ) but I'm going to let it set for a few weeks and then have a look at it again.

It's cocoa, and it smells GREAT, the recipe was heavy on cocoa butter so this soap just smells FANTASTIC !!

They look lovely! And that swirl is to die for! Soft and glisteny is okay for really new soap. The softness depends on the oils you have used, but as it cures (drys out) it will harden up fine. Congratulations :D

Tanya :)
