Can you melt a melt & pour soap base more than once? Or will that break it down and ruin it? Thanks!

If you are using a commercial base, yes. I do not know how many times a handmade base can be remelted. My daughter loads up her melters and turns them off if she is not going to be running soap for a couple of days. Part of the key is using a quality commercial base and as lsg stated do not overheat, which is why she has a couple of commercial melters that you set the temp and have a spigot for dispensing. We have found one which is the Jelly base from NDA that does lose quality if remelted. It will take one remelt okay, but will lose lather ability if remelted more. FYI NDA is discontinuing that base
