Quick Cocoa Question

How much per pound of oils do you use?? Same as suger, 1 TBL per pound?? I'm about to make some soap and want it to smell chocolatey!!!

I don't know how much to use but from one batch that I've done before with cocoa ( I just eyeballed the amount) the scent did not come through.

well I tried it! I did 1 TBL for two pounds of oils, it got REALLY dark. I don't know if it will last but right now it smells great!!!!

It won't last. I made a marble chocolate soap and the smell doesn't stay. Same with cocoa butter.

Next time, I'm going to mix some hot choc FO with the dark part.

I made some with cocoa butter and the smell is barely there. So maybe a chocolate FO?

I made a "mocha" soap using cocoa butter, coffee butter, and cocoa and it was just a waste because it smells like soap. That's it. I've learned that smells do not seem to make it through the process unless they are EO and FOs.

Hot Chocolate FO sounds so nice.
