questions about expired products

Hi everyone
I started my company making soaps, opening a shop on Etsy, opening my own website, etc. I wanted more than just soaps so I added body butters, lip balms, bath salts, solid moisturizers so I bought some kits to make. I know that the expiration date for the oils and butters are a year and for the finished product is about year. Some sold but I have now hit that year of having these ready made whips and things. What does everyone do with the expired stuff? Do I take the loss and throw everything out?

I would remove the outdated products from your inventory for sale. If it looks OK, use it yourself. I never make big batches of anything for that very reason. If you have a body butter, lotion bar etc. listed and someone orders, you can always make a quick batch.
