Questions & a good supplier from the UK?

I'm totally new to this craft, I love crafting but this is just a whole new thing to me and I am really excited about trying out marble effects and embedding shapes into loafs.

My first question is does anyone know a good supplier from the UK with good rates?

Also how do you know how much frangrances or essentials to add to soap? I am not very good with weights and volumes and think thats where I am going to struggle the most.

Can you wrap soap in clingfilm in the US I hear people say sarong wrap (I think this is the same thing)?

My final queston is: what is the size of a slice of soap from a loaf?

Hi soapshy,
Im totally new to soapmaking too. Only being doing it for a month or so. I use "travelmate" on ebay for my soap supplies. They are part of The Green Range. They combine postage and packing and Ive ordered from them a few times now.
Im not sure about the wrapping of the soaps yet or how much oil etc to use - its just trial and error for me at the moment. There is a good website called soapylove.com. too and is full of good ideas.

Ive been dropping a few hints to my OH for a book called Soapylove by Debbie Chialtas for an early christmas pressie because im told it is good for beginners!!! x

You can add up to 1tsp of fragrance per pound of soap - up to 1/2 tsp if you're using EOs

It's called Saran wrap or cling wrap and yes, you can use it but it won't hold the scent in - you're better off using cellophane to retain all the scent.

the slice thicknedd is whatever you want it to be! There are some cutters that have the slits made to measure - they're generally about 2.5cm thick or so.
