I have several bars of soap that is turning orange, but not much. Is it still safe to use or should I just throw it away? I plan to use it on myself. Thanks in advance.

hard to say why the bars are turning orange without more info. pics and recipe might help...

It sounds like it might be DOS/rancidity. You may use DOSSed soap on yourself at your own discretion (I don't believe it is harmful to do so), but I wouldn't sell it or give it away.

Is the orange color showing up as spots, and if so, are they kinda greasy-feeling and have an off-smell?

IrishLass :)

It sounds like dos to me. I've seen DOS that wasn't spots, it started in one corner then began to spread across the bar. This bar was in the shower sitting on top of some bobby pins. the metal in the bobby pins caused it to DOS, and quickly. If your bars were laying against a metal surface that wasn't stainless, that could have caused it.
