I normally do not use fragrance in my soaps, only EOs, and my nephew is having a Luau this coming July and asked me if I can make soaps with coconut and pineapple scents to put in his bathroom for guests. Does anyone know a good company where they sell these fragrances of good quality? I once made a batch for a friend using fragrance because that's what she wanted. However, the coconut-lime didn't smell like I expected it. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the company, but I just want to make sure I get better quality this time. Thanks in advance.

Coconut is a notoriously elusive scent. Most coconut FOs morph or fade in CP soaping.

I would go with a tropical fruity type fragrance. There are many available - pina colada, mango, etc.

Candle Science's "Jamaica Me Crazy" is a nice one. It's well behaved and definitely evokes the tropics.

Oregon Trails makes a nice pineapple. I think it's called Caribbean Pineapple. It remains true to scent and does not fade.

THANK YOU very much for such helpful information. I will definitely look into that. :)

I second the Caribbean Pineapple from Oregon Trails. It's awesome and true.

Re: coconut- Like judymoody said, coconut is pretty elusive. A strong and true smelling coconut scent that will hold up in CP is like the Holy Grail of every soapmaker I know. Hopefully one day......

Peak's sells a Passionfruit & Guava scent that's an awseome tropical scent. It soaps great, too.

Sound great! Thank you so much!

I just made Passionfruit Papaya from Bramble Berry and it's a good tropical scent! It did not discolor at all so it will stay whichever color you choose for it. (I made mine hot pink, orange, and yellow)
