Question about embedding and getting lines

I am trying to make toy bugs embedded in glycerine soap but I just can't get the toys from floating up and when I do a shallow layer, put the bug in there then after it is sticking in there, the next layer on top shows a line inside... How do I add the toy without it floating up and without the layer lines showing? Thanks!

Try pouring a thin layer of soap before you place your toys down as a sort of glue. After you pour the thin layer and place your toys down, wait until it has dried. Then, you pour the next layer of soap. You may want to use a spoon to pour the rest of your soap so that you do not knock over any of the toys.
