Do you think you could use something like Nescafe or does it need to be freshly ground?

Nescafe is insant coffee just in case non-Aussies didnt know what I am on about

I've never used it before, but I would think since it is instant the only thing it will do is color the soap. The crystals will dissolve unlike coffee grounds.

Maybe someone else in the forum has tried this and can speak from practical experience.....

I am assuming you plan on adding this to soap? I do an MP coffee soap and a CP coffee soap. You can use instant coffee dissolved in liquid and that will give a nice coffee colour, depending on how much you add. Liquid coffee is liquid coffee, however it is made. The grounds added to soap add scrubby texture, a different result. May I suggest you make the instant coffee quite strong? When I use espresso I make a triple shot and use that. HTH!

So would I need a very strong scented F.O. or E.O. ? I was thinking a kinda scrubby soap, not real fussed on the colour, more for the texture. Guess it can't hurt to try it out. Mmmmm, maybe a goatmilk coffee scrub soap?

If you want the scrubby texture, instant coffee will just melt in the soap, sorry! Grounds can scratch so be careful how much you add. The most I add to CP is 1 tablespoon for 1000 gram oil batch. If you like the idea of a goat milk scrub soap you could try adding polenta (cornmeal) or semolina instead - not as scratchy! Or poppy seeds are good, as are jojoba beads.
