I know i have been pestering you all for a while now about my impending evoo/coconut with castor oil superfat recipe, but im wondering about the mold. I want to make a 3 lb batch and use a pvc pipe for the mold to make round soaps. (33% water disc through the soap calc)

if i pour it into the pvc will it overheat? I want gel, but dont want to over heat it. I heard the pvc molds run on the hot side, should i wrap it in towels, leave it as is?

Overheating depends on a lot of factors, my pvc never overheated and I would pack them in an esky. I have abandoned the idea of round soaps bc I hated the lining bit

My tries didn't overheat, only problem i had was getting it out of there, that was until i started lining it with baking paper.

I use them and have never had one over heat. I do wrap them in towels, but they would probably gel w/o that. I don't line mine, I pop them in te freezer for a few hours and then they can be pushed out easily.
