I just made a pumpkin spice soap and boy does my kitchen smell amazing!! This is the first time I've done a swirl so I can't wait to cut into it.

That looks great! I know what you mean about that scent, I always look forward to making that one and Honey Gingerbread this time of the year! (symphony Scents).

I want to see the cut pix too!

So I cut into it today only to find out that it had pockets of oil throughout the soap. From what I've read that's most likely due to it over heating so now I'm attempting to rebatch it and the put it in the freezer for a few hours and then to the fridge over night.

Thats too bad, I always hate loosing nice swirls to overheating. Once you rebatch, their is no reason to freeze it but you can put it in the fridge if you want to cool it off faster so its ready to cut sooner.

nice color . what did you use? and the pumpkin spice is a FO?

I actually put in about 2-3 ounces of pumpkin puree and then had originally had separated out some and put in titanium dioxide to make a swirl pattern, note the pattern in the very first picture. Since I had to rebatch it I wasn't able to keep the color so it all got mixed in and it still turned out just like pie filling :D

Yep, the pumpkin spice is a FO from Bramble Berry http://www.brambleberry.com/Pumpkin-Spice-Fragrance-Oil-P3917.aspx

That's too bad about losing the swirls, but to me, it looks like pumpkin pie filling. If it smells like it too, I'd be wanting to eat it up! Very nice :)
