Do saponified oils lose much of their properties?
I'm making hot process soap and having trouble on deciding what to use to superfat my soap.
If i have a high lubricating, silky oil will it help the soap have these qualities better if it was saponifed or used as a superfat?
what do people use to superfat and why?
thanks

Yes, I believe they properties change once saponification. However, if doing HP you can choose your super fat and add it after the cook. It has the best chance of surviving the lye monster. I don’t do HP though. Tried and don’t care for the process. [emoji3]
