I found a local supplier for Potassium Hydroxide flakes, so liquid soap, here I come!
I've held back from liquid soap making until now as I only make small amounts of soap for my friends and family using locally-purchased oils and could not justify the hefty shipping charge incurred.
Then I had a lightbulb moment - Potassium Hydroxide is used to make Biodiesel - so I paid a visit to a local biodiesel-making equipment supplier who sold me 1 kilogram for £2.50.
So if anyone in the UK is having issues finding affordable KOH, check and see if there is a biodiesel-making equipment supplier by you.
(This is the link to the one I visited, they are only a mile or so from me, in Birkenhead on the Wirral:

I hope this is helpful to another UK soaper
