Made Irish Lass's recipe - which I've done several times before. Stick blended until it was thickening and warming up so saponification was happening. Left in a covered bowl for an hour and came back to find some weird separation - clear thin-ish liquid, stiff translucent gold soap.
Chopped it up enough to hand mix, then stick blend a bit - but then I had bits translucent soap mixed in with opaque "spun honey" looking batter. At this point the consistency is like a thick trace. 5 minutes later it's taffy.
Any one have this happen - and how did it dilute smoothly?
