figured out what bath bar recipe I want to use. now----I used some liquid dye but I really want to use my micas and I am wondering if I mix some with poly 80 will the poly 80 have any negative effects on the bubbles in my bath bars

I'm not sure the Poly80 would really help with mica sticking -- it is just an emulsifier (if your bath bar has oils in it then it might be a good idea so that you don't get floating oil on your bath water). I think lake dyes work really well for coloring bath things, and they do not stain at all.

Oh, are you talking about a bubble bar, not a bar of soap? If so, my bubble bar recipe uses a little poly 80, and if you are using mica it should help keep the sides of the tub clean. I only lightly tint mine. But it won't hurt the bubbleage.

Edit: Agree with atiz - lakes won't stain. I don't use them though and I don't care if my water isn't colored.

I have had no issues with my micas or pigment powder discoloring wash cloths or bath tubs. I think it has more to do with dosage than anything else.
