hello everyone, I am very new to LS making, I am just lucky that I made liquid soap for the dishes twice and it came out just perfect, both times thick, and very cleansing,
I made a recipe I found in the Internet and I am afraid to change anything because I really don't know the results
This is the recipe;
20 oz soybean oil
10 oz coconut oil
11.40 water oz
7.10 oz KOH

I am out of soybean oil and I want to use canola instead, but I am sure that will change the results. I just don't know how? is it going to be less cleansing? or less bubbling?I know nothing about oil qualities and I just wand to make some soap,
please help?

Congratulations on making liquid soap on your first try, Maria. Good for you! :thumbs:

Here are some links to help you learn more about the basics and to get used to using SoapCalc which allows you to guesstimate how your LS will turn out... more or less cleansing? more or less bubbly? etc., depending on what oils/fats/butters you use.
