I have been playing around with this recipe in soapcalc (Thanks, IanT, for the sticky thread) and have come up with what I think will be a nice soap. Really bubbly and moisturizing is what I'm aiming for.

I am quite the inexperienced soaper, so I'm not sure that I've hit the nail on the head. Any advice, comments, or input you could offer would be appreciated.

: )

Hardness=39
Cleansing=17
Condition=54
Bubbly=26
Creamy=31
Iodine=56
INS=151

Coconut 25%
Palm 26%
Olive 33%
Castor 10%
Jojoba 3%
Shea 3%

I'm new at soap making too and have been told not to use more than 5% castor oil.

That looks pretty darned good. I like my Conditioning to be at least 60, & I keep my Castor at about 3%, because it can be drying.

Numbers are helpful, but you really won't know what the soap's like until you've tried it. :wink:

This thread is 6 years old, I doubt if they will see your comment. With thread threads this old, people are not around any longer.
