planning a new soap

I am sitting here reading SFM and eating pistachios. When a crazy thought came into my head. Granola Nut Soap. So I want everyone's input on this and see what we come up with for a soap like this.

Lets put all the item down and then we will play with amounts of each.

Wow! What a fun idea!

My favorite granola bar is fudge dipped chocolate chip. Some ingredients which you could use in soap would be whole grain oats, sugar, coconut, palm, palm kernel and soybean oils, corn syrup, honey, molasses, soy lecithin, salt, cornstarch, peanuts, almonds, egg whites. Chocolate chips, chocolate, cocoa butter, vanilla and milk.

You could also use sunflower oil (some bars have sunflower oil or seeds in them).

So lets see.

honey, oats (for scrubbie effect) for milk lets try almond milk, coconut oil.

fo's I can make different types of granola bar soap. Like apple spice which would have cinnamon base. Love that scent. Would not put real cinnamon in though as it it an irritant on the skin for some. What else?

Drizzle chocolate soap all along the top and maybe inside, I always think of chocolate granola bars too.

I've been making granola with pepitas in it lately, so pumpkin oil?

Yes, I have palm. I am not making this in a loaf but single bars. Although I could do a loaf. Hmm will have to think on that one.

pumkin oil will have to look that one up.

How about sunflower HO I can get that easy here.

Sunflower HO would be great for conditioning! I'd suggest using the almond milk, coconut, palm, sunflower, soybean, honey and oatmeal. I did some playing around on SoapCalc and I thought the hardness and cleansing values were nice but it's lower in conditioning than I prefer. Then I realized this isn't for me so you might like it.

This is just a suggestion and please feel free to critique or change it.

25% Coconut Oil
25% Palm Oil
25% HO Sunflower
15% Soybean
10% Cocoa Butter

Liquid - Almond Milk
Additives - Honey and Oatmeal
Fragrance - Apple Spice

If you wanted to add pumpkin oil -

25% Coconut Oil
25% Palm Oil
25% HO Sunflower
10% Soybean
10% Cocoa Butter
5% Pumpkin Oil

I have yummy honey almond FO that I used a finely ground oatmeal powder with...I'm not sure where I put my recipe..but I also used banana puree in it It is one of my favorites!

That sounds great! I personally don't like bananas and granola but I know people who do. Banana puree would be a good ingredient.
