Pictures of my first 3 batches!

Well I was having that problem with the first batch where they were half the size that I wanted them (thanks to the mold description being mis-represented) and that fluid pocket (FO). You can see the discoloration it caused. I'm not sure why the sample sliver I cut turned so dark? This was insulated and popped out of the mold easily after 24 hours.

The second batch is the correct size but I didn't insulate it, I put it out in the cold, cold laundry room! I wanted to see if there would be a difference in the vibrancy of the colors and smell. The smell is just as vibrant as the other soaps that were insulated but when I unmolded (after 3 days because it was so much softer than the first batch) it stuck to my mold a lot. After I cut them, the color changed from a tan (like on the tops) to a red. Weird or not?

My third batch is one I am VERY happy with. The colors and smell are wonderful and it popped right out of the mold. This was also, insulated.

Good job! You might notice over the next couple of weeks it changes further maybe or not. What was the fragrance oil in 2 that you used? Any vanilla will discolor to a tan or brown.

The 1st was Vanilla Tobacco, the 2nd was Gun Powder, and the 3rd was Tuscan Nights with Peppermint, Rosemary, and Poppy Seeds!

I really like the third one also. I am still waiting patiently to take mine out of the mold. I am only peaking at it every few hours instead of every hour or every five minutes.... I am doing better then I thought I would. I am going to be out tonight (unless it starts snowing again), but I should be making some more soap this weekend.

It's horrible, I know. That's why I was SO discouraged with the 2nd soap that I didn't insulate....waiting 3 days to unmold was killing me! I don't think I'll ever do that again, lol
