Does anyone know about any physical walk-in stores for soapmaking in New England?
My family is going to be driving around New England next week, and I hope to stop to buy soap making supplies, as they are non-existent in NYC. I'm going to all the states.

I'm not sure how they sell at the store - I'm not in Massachusetts anymore :(
But, you're going to pay too much at any type of a "boutique" soap supply store.

Are you hitting every state or do you know pretty much where you'll be? I can ask my New England soaping friends if they know of any places.

Haven't been able to find anyone who knows where there is a store like what you are looking for. Of course, you'll be able to find the occasional place that sells jars of this and that, but again, you'll pay a fortune.

I do know that Artemesia in Salem, MA sells a few things you can use for soaping - she carriers some essential and base oils, plus tons of nice botanicals. That's my hometown and you'll probably see places like hers here and there around the region, but unless you want to buy in bulk - that's all I know.

From Nature with Love is in Connecticut, but I don't think they do walk-in sales.
