Hi there,
am trying to make my soaps as mild as possible but no matter what superfat % i use they are coming out as ph 10. I am using a digital ph reader and have checked it with water - and it seems to be reading ok. What can i do to make my soaps milder? I have even used a 10/11% superfat but this doesnt seem to make any difference. Any tips?
Thanks

How long are you curing them for before testing?

Soap has a pH of about 9.5-10.5. Because it's soap. How long it's cured won't impact that.
How low did you want to go?

Yeah, that is a normal ph for soap. You don't have to lower the ph to make a mild bar. Oil choice, superfat level and perhaps additives will make a mild bar.
