Ph strip accuracy

What number do you guys get from this strip? I get between a 7 and 8?? It's liquid soap. It's a it cloudy cause I added some avocado oil to help it along.

I would say that is not accurate at all. A true liquid soap with a ph that low would have started to break down - causing cloudiness and layers. Soap is supposed to be on the alkaline side - that is what makes it soap.

Personally, I do not use strips but instead phenolphthalein drops and a digital (and easily calibrated) Ph meter.

What do you mean you added Avocado Oil to "help it along"?
