Dear Soap Makers :)
I hope you are all well and making wonderful soaps!
I was wondering....about how to test the PH in my CP soaps...I mean is it necessary...would it help tell me the quality of soap I have. I learned that the soaps should be close tot eh PH of the body 4.5-5.5. What about liquid soaps?
I got these PH strips so I was just going to dissolve soap CP soap with water and see..any advice is great.
Grateful!

where did you learn that? the pH of bar soaps is typically between 9.5 and 11; same with liquid soaps.

and pH strips are pretty inaccurate in soaps for some reason.

So how do you tell if the soap is ready to use? how do you test it? do you just test it on your skin?
