I have a favorite perfume, is it possible to use this in soap, lotions or lotion bars as the FO?

NO! The alcohol will make your soap seize, and is not good in other applications as it 1) is a solvent that's a pain to deal with and 2) dilutes the fragrance to the point that you have to add too much.

In lotions it might break your emulsion and/or compromise your preservative.

You can often find duplications that ARE suitable for use like this. Let us know and we can help you find it.

Hi mamaT, I live in Australia and have found a supplier that stocks FO duplicates of perfumes, Poison included. I haven't CP soaped with any yet, but if they are available in Aus they should definitely be in your part of the world IMO. Why not check out the FO suppliers online and have a look see. I know that good suppliers often have information on soaping charactistics too. Good luck :D

finding fragrance

I found the fragrance Poison thru fragrancefinders at BitterCreek north but there is no info on whether I can use it in soap only lotion.

on the right side of the page you can click on cp test results or keyword to search. the 'site takes a while to learn to navigate, but it's worth the effort. they have good quality scents.

results on c/p soap: scent was great-excellerated trace-slight color change.

you may want to make a test batch as it sounds a little touchy. also, i would blend the f/o with an equal part of you liquid oil from your soap batch. that way when you add it, it doesnt shock you soap as much. stir it in quickly just before pouring into mold, and hand stir-no stick after adding fragrance.

if you rtcp this shouldnt affect you as much, but you would be wise to watch it just incase.
