I thought about doing a peppermint patty......and taking some soap out before I scent it so it don't turn brown and making it seafoam or neon green.
And swirling it in with the chocolate peppermint scented soap.

Hot Chocolate always turns dark brown. Do you think that would be to weird looking ? Brown soap with light green swirls ?

No, I don't think it's wierd! I would go one step further and take out some plain white, no color and swirl the white in with the green. The white would add an eye popping contrast. Sounds scrumptious... :D

I've thought of doing something similar to this. I agree that both of those ideas sounds great. The brown/green would remind me of an Andes mint. Yum!

I made a peppermint patty soap that turned out great - I split the batch, left part uncolored and added 2 Tbl cocoa to the rest and molded it in a Pringles can. Here's a pic:

I think the brown and green would look pretty!

that is lovely! How much soap (oil weight) fits into a Pringles can? I love the shape and the krinkle cut too!

I think that would make an awesome soap , there is an andes thin mint FO out there too . You might have to put a warning not to eat on the label though  .

Has anyone tried AromaHaven's Peppermint Patti? I have a sample. need to do a test bath. I don't think it discolors so maybe that gives you more options for coloring/swirls. It smells great OOB.

Nice looking soap swirls!
I have Peak's "Peppermint Kiss" on the shelf to try. It's chocolate mint.

Well, I should have been able to figure that out!

When you do a test batch, do you just make a small batch like 1 pound or so?

I think the green and brown sound very nice, or the white, green and brown. Also, the pics of the white and brown are awesome!

Yes, I just make a pound of the recipe I use(adjusting oils and lye) to test FOs - If it works, yeah!!!If not, I just keep a stash maybe one day I will shred it up or something.

I've learned really fast that FOs can smell very different in soap than OOB!
BTW, I just did a test of Peppermint Patti (from Aromahaven) this morning.
Will post results.

I just mixed hot chocolate and a little peppermint....I didnt buy a peppermint patty oil.

I am waiting for my chocolate to turn my soap a little darker, then gonna put up a picture....ITs almost there... LOL.
