I made this yesterday as I was in a Christmassy mood. It's a red and white spoon swirl inside. I think I went a bit mad with the iron oxide colouring, but I wanted a nice red colour. I hope I don't get too much red lather though :(

Don't worry about red lather - consider it Christmas-time temporary shower coloring and just hide your white washcloths. You'll have to post pics when cut!

It's still a bit too sticky to get out of the mold, but I'm going to see if it will come out tomorrow then post some cut pics. The gold on top is mica called 'gold Sparks' from an online makeup company. I mixed it with a splash of olive oil then drizzled it on top. It only really works on the surface of the soap as it doesn't shine if you put it into the batter.

I cracked and cut them. I would have liked the red to be brighter. When I added the iron oxide it was a lovely Christmas red but it's gone a bit brown now saponification is complete. I had't used the colour before so I will have to look around and see if I can find a better red.
