Palm Kernel oil

Is that the same as just palm oil? Can it be bought from a local grocery store?

When people mention that they use coconut oil, is that the same as the kind you can get from walmart like the LouAna brand?

No PKO and Palm are not at all the same thing....and yes I use the coconut oil from wal-mart, but only because I make very small amounts of soap and small batches. The price has risen considerably in just the last year.

Palm kernel oil is very much like coconut oil and babassu oil and can be used interchangably.

I have used both but never in the same batch. I mainly use coconut oil.
