OOPS.... Skin On Liquid Soap DOn't Want To Melt

:bunny: I hope someone could shine some light on this skin/film issue for me
I made what I think is a lovely Liquid Soap.
BUT...
After I added water at 1:1 Ratio I have a skin floating on top.
Not sure if it just need more time on high? I did add an extra 8oz
distilled water but this just made the soap thinner

Paste weight = 24oz
Added 24oz Distilled water plus 8oz more after 12hours

Not sure what do with the skin/film

What was your recipe? Soaps higher in olive oil tend to need more water to fully dissolve. My high olive liquid soaps need nearly 2 parts water to 1 part paste.

If the soap is cold, you need to reheat it, then if the skin does not go away, pull it off and dilute it by itself.

The skin is simply undiluted soap created from moisture loss during dilution. It should melt into the soap. If not, pull it off and add water and heat it up by itself.

I scooped the layer out - added distilled water to it, dissolved it and then added it back to the pot.
It all came out good - I Guess you need to have the right amount of water or you will grow a thick or thin skin
